Is it possible that we are eating a diet that ensures that we will become dependent on medication to live a life that is not even enjoyable?
It is so frustrating. There has been evidence for years that sugar is addictive. That sugar stimulates the brain the same way other drugs do. But we feed it to our children!
What is your goal? If you would like to improve your health and get your weight under control, start by eating a healthy diet because your diet determines how your body is built. How many times have I heard "keto doesn't work for me no matter how much I try" when talking to people who have given up on the ketogenic lifestyle? What is happening in those situations? Did your body actually respond poorly to a healthy diet ... or is it possible that there was something else happening?
The best way to solve a problem is to look at it objectively and then systematically control the variables. We are not willing to do that when it comes to our diet. We want a solution that will work within a few months and that will take little to no effort.
Hmm, considering that most of us gained weight over the course of 5 plus years, wanting a final solution in a few months is a bit ambitious. And this is part of the answer to why Keto does not work for everyone. If we do keto expecting results after a few months, we ignore the fact that our body, now that it has a reprieve from being poisoned, may focus on repair and healing the damage. Keeping in mind, our body wants to keep us alive above all else.
"Why isn't keto working for me" assumes that what your body is doing to repair internally is not a goal of keto. But in fact, it is the ultimate goal. Keto is about building the healthiest body, not weight loss. When we understand this, we understand that even if I do not see the scale moving, as long as I have less inflammation, more energy, and can make it between meals without feeling hungry, keto is working.
Invest in your health by focusing on doing keto for the amazing health benefits rather than focusing on the short term goal of weight loss. That investment will result in a healthy body that will stabilize to the correct weight naturally. Health and happiness take work. Make working on it part of your daily routine.

What is metabolic syndrome and how does it affect our lives? Each day when you eat, your body needs to process the food. Metabolic syndrome is a cluster of conditions that tend to occur together. If you have 3 out of 5 of the conditions, you are considered to have metabolic syndrome.
However, many keto doctors have stated that the conditions are all an indication that you actually have insulin resistance. Therefore, having any one of the indicators is a reason to modify your eating habits and eat a healthy ketogenic diet.
