Dr. Berg gave us permission to load up on low glycemic vegetables but should we? Would it be better to limit sugar to grams per meal? Well, it depends what you are trying to accomplish. In fact, keeping your sugar intake low is a very healthy practice that every keto doctor endorses. 20 grams of carbs is the amount of sugar that doctors believe our body can manage easily, it is not a goal.
